Things are calm, for now

At this moment the things have settled down a bit, only few gatherings, few dozens of people taken down. A lot of extremists have been locked up, including leaders, 60 or so people are waiting criminal charges (50:50 estonian speakers and russian speakers), another 60 or so are waiting for the grey passport (legal aliens) revoked.

Hackers are attacking the websites of state departments, but these have been contained. Mayor of Tallinn, the capitol, is being mistrusted by general public and lot of politicians (accusations are inaction and general favoring of the Russian Federation and it's views) - over 50,000 (4% of whole population) signatures are collected, demanding his resignation, he's being named as the traitor of the country, a collaborant.

General consensus of the world is supporting us, with lot of goverments expressing their support. A lot are understanding the motives, especially those countries that have also faced occupation, or that have troubles with immigrants, like UK or France.

The monument itself (being made of 2 features - bronze soldier and rock wall) is in good shape, after removing it from the old site it was cleaned and worn parts repaired. Soldier itself is already up in new location - armed forces cemetary, the wall will join him shortly, with the remains.

Before the start of excavation there was a ceremony, attended by representatives of both churches. The momument will be reopened on 8th May (international day celebrating the victory over nazi Germany), with representatives summoned from all allied countries.

And still, Estonian embassy in Moscow is under siege by demonstrants, with walls graffited, the police force there cannot/ are not willing to protect it. Because of this our embassy is currently not working, with the ambassador evacuated.

Russian delegation was invited here so they could supervise the legal justifications of the bronze soldier removal, to discuss the questions of the war graves and other questions they deem to be interesting. Instead the delegation presented absurd claims and unjustified demands. So the Departement of Foreign Affairs was forced to apologize in front of all gathered journalists and representatives of Diplomatic corps for the inconveniences the Russian delegation had created.
